Women's Empowerment and Development

Women's Empowerment and Development

This organisation protects and empowers women and girls-at-risk. Gardening is used as a means of solace and healing. This project also has developed a retail shop in Jaffa's Old City to employ some of their clients and help fund the program. Volunteers for this project need to be especially sensitive towards women and girls who are from underprivileged backgrounds and who may have been abused.

Palestinian-Israeli Youth Organisation

Palestinian/Israeli Youth Organisation

Located in the heart of Tel Aviv, this 22 year-old bi-national group reaches out to Israeli and Palestinian Society, and is especially strong on youth programs. Their message is one of hope for the future, embodied in the Youth Journalists and Youth Leaders Programs, and the publication of a magazine with a wide readership.
